I don't want to have to work the rest of my life at a job I hate. If my parents had told me, "to be the best" instead of "do your best", my outlook on life might have been different. This is good because many kids have to live up to expectations that they can't attain, or do something that they don't really enjoy in order to make their parents proud. I also understand the different aspects of MLA and APA formatting and what type of prompt would go best for whichever one. Also, from reading the smart thinking reports really helped me to realize what my weaknesses were in my writing and how to turn them into strengths.
Now for me I am all about letting my organization take over. I love to ask questions and find my answers. I am not sure how I would improve my writing skills. I tend to pay attention to the guidelines, I like to accurately sort my information and thoughts, make plans and many rough drafts before putting a final together. I could probably give in to my confluence a bit more every now and then to build up my thoughts and ideas and put forth more of myself into my writing. In chapter three if you read it in depth it really does help with the understanding of writing and breaks down the steps of the writing process. I honestly wish my previous writing classes gave us this. I have never been the best writer, but this really helps. Planning is really essential to a great paper.
When we plan we should always analyze the situation, gather the information, select the right medium, and organize the information.
